The Vans RV6 is a popular homebuilt aircraft. As of November 2021, there have been 2,700 built and flown. For many builders and buyers, the RV6 may be their first low-wing, conventional gear aircraft. Our training plans have been developed to provide specific training to individuals looking to familiarize themselves with the aircraft in a safe environment before building, buying, or flying an RV6.
Prerequisites
To enter these training programs, pilots must be at least a Private Pilot and have an Airplane Single Engine Land rating, current medical certificate, and be in good standing with the FAA.
Pilot Certificate Minimum: Private Pilot
Ratings: Airplane Single Engine Land
Must already possess a tailwheel endorsement.
