T-1 Sim-Only Guidance

If you were a graduate that only flew the T-1 in the Sim, this is our recommendation.

T-1 Sim-only does not qualify for a multi-engine rating or type rating. We suggest that if you are going to a multi-engine aircraft:

Wait until your next training base and then apply with either:

1. Checkride in a multi-engine aircraft (SIM does not count).

2. Checkride in a SIM plus 10 hours in the actual aircraft.

Your knowledge test is good for 24 months, so you will definitely meet these requirements before it expires.

Of course you are always welcome to continue this application with us if you would like to get it out of the way, then you can do a simple add-on application after you have your follow-on checkride. If you process your add-on with us you will receive a $20-off discount on your multi-engine application.
